This trip I was staying at Sipadan Water Village and my balcony was facing the ‘kampung’ of the Mabul’s sea gypsies. Their lifestyle is so basic but yet they look happy and peaceful. They are few whom fully utilize their boat which is their transport system, bedroom, kitchen and playground for the young ones. Every morning when I wake-up by 6am, it’s also very interesting to see so many kids squatting at the beach close to the sea. How nature can that not be :-D
Class and Trip of August 2010
Diving at Sipadan is always very interesting from spotting macros (mainly at Mabul and Kapalai) to diving at the crystal clear fish-tank-alike-view of the underwater garden of Sipadan island itself. Best is when we’re doing safety-stop staring at the reef. Every inches of the seabed covered with colorful soft and hard corals.
